Mbappe went to a prestigious soccer school in France called the Clairefontaine National Football Institute, where he practiced with some of the most talented young players in the country. When he was growing up, he looked up to players like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazário, and Cristiano Ronaldo, and he dreamed of one day playing for Real Madrid.
Mbappe began his professional career on December 2nd, 2015, when he started playing for AS Monaco. He quickly became an important player for the team and played a big part in their winning the French league in 2017. He was also awarded the title of Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year. While at Monaco, Mbappe scored 27 goals in 60 games, which made top European clubs take notice of him. In 2017, he joined Paris Saint-Germain on a one-season loan, with the possibility of staying there permanently. At PSG, he teamed up with Neymar and Edinson Cavani in attack and helped the team win all the domestic trophies in his first season, scoring 21 goals in 44 matches
