Micah Parsons, born on May 26, 1999, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, attended Central Dauphin High School briefly before moving to Harrisburg High School. He was a top-ranked recruit and initially committed to Penn State in 2016 but later reaffirmed his commitment in December 2017, graduating from high school early to join the university.
After committing to Penn State, Parsons switched to middle linebacker from his high school defensive end position. In his freshman year, he led the team in tackles with 82, becoming the first freshman to do so in the team’s history.
